Whole-home surge protection and hardwired smoke detectors
Mountain thunderstorms and utility switching send surges through the wiring that power strips do not stop. A whole-home surge protector at the panel takes the hit first. Interconnected hardwired smoke and CO detectors make sure every alarm in the house sounds when one does.
Surge protection at the panel
A Type 2 surge protective device mounts at your panel and protects every circuit, including the ones feeding the HVAC, the fridge and the well pump, which plug-in strips never cover.
Hardwired smoke and CO detectors
We replace old or battery-only detectors with hardwired, interconnected units with battery backup, and add CO detection near bedrooms and fuel-burning appliances.
Good to pair with other work
Surge protection is a short add-on when we are already at your panel for a breaker, a new circuit or an EV charger, so it is a good time to ask.
